Three Nigerians have been stranded at Thailand Airport for the past two months due to lockdown

A Twitter user Richard Barrow from Thailand has brought to notice the 3 Nigerians that are stranded at Suvarnabhumi airport in Thailand for the past two months because they  could not go into the country or travel back as a result of coronavirus lockdown.

According to Richard Barrow the reason why they could not go into the country is because they are in transit and do not have a Thailand visa.

On his tweet he reported that, two of them arrived via an Emirates flight with the hope of going to Laos on Saturday, March 21, while the third one came three days later on Tuesday, March 24 on Etihad airliner.

He noted that the Nigerians have been getting support from officials at the airport.

Meanwhile, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has responded to the tweet saying that though everywhere is on lockdown including its mission house in Thailand, it would reach out to the Nigerians.
